ATTENTION ALL WRITERS! C'MON!!!

Yes! I've started trying out some horror as well! I would love some tips if you'd give them!
Tips:
1. Figure out which type of horror best suits what you like. I prefer psychological, but there are many more types out there that you may like.
2. Don’t make it too scary to be scary. There is a perfect balance where it sends chills up your spine and makes you scared to leave your house, but doesn’t make you laugh at how ridiculous it is.
3. be spooky

I'm currently writing a story about two cousins, Henri and Reth, who, with their group of rebels, are trying to overthrow an evil dictator. Both lost a parent (because the parents were part of the old government, and the dictator got rid of them) and have their own struggles with the loss.
Henri is humorous to cover up his mistrust and Reth is anxious and quiet; he'd rather solve problems with his fists.
It's super fun, and I've only got three chapters to go. Planning to have it self published by August 31. Here's hoping. It's been a work in progress for far too long.

Sounds interesting! I would read it, for sure.
