I remember a book that said all horses are basically shades of brown. I don't remember the name of it now, though, it was long ago and far away. The Color of Horses, maybe? Lots of pics. And fascinating!There is a book where they did this massively in-depth study on color, down to like hair thickness and density and hide depth of different colors and shaft transluscentness (sp?). It's wild. I'll try to find it.
