Well, we used to have two.

My Sliverly (aka "Silver" registered name " Neitherhere Northere") died on January 2, 2021 at 1 am. The vet took this photo of me saying good bye.

I had her since she was a baby. She was 26. She would have been 27 on April 15, 2021. She was a huge part of my life and I miss her.

Sorry about the downer news - but it is part of life. When you love, it can be hard sometimes.

We still have Robin. And it may do her and me some good to enter this contest! I try to spend as much time as possible with her and she is getting a little more belly from all the extra feed! Silver used to devour her portion and then run over and scnatch the rest of Robin's - before she stopped eating, that is. And Robin's feed buckets have been extra full as of late, to distract her a little. Robin will be 31 on May 5, 2021. Go Robin! We got her as a companion horse in 2000 when we brought Silver to our backyard.

I’m sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how hard that must have been for you.

Hi everyone, would any of you be interested in participating in an Official BYC horse/pony contest? :pop The only requirement is that you have access to a horse or pony and a camera.

I'm so sorry! I know it is so so hard. I had to have one of my mares, Ginger, put down this Nov. It was the hardest decision I've had to make, and I still miss her, but it was time. Your Silver was very lucky to have had a loving, constant owner her entire life.

lol well this is a contest I won't be entering. As you can see from my pic, I have a white pony pictured sporting his Ducks and Daisies rain sheet. I have never owned a horse who can so thoroughly cover himself with mud after a good long roll. I have a pic of him where the only white area left is his rump. Maybe I could send in a picture of him with the caption "guess what colour this pony is?"

He, he - our vet used to call Silver a Virginia Bay - it is a new color: start with a gray, wait for a good rain, and let it roll in the VA clay!
