Atwood's Duckling Identification!

@Abuechler1 What are you feeding your ducks? It could be your one duckling isn't getting enough protein it needs?

I am feeding him game bird chick starter, that is what was recommended by Atwood's. But - I just got him this afternoon. They were all received yesterday afternoon from the hatchery.

I dont know enough about ducklings to comment on their size or anything like that. I am in research mode as I don't have ducks yet myself. The link I posted has info regarding cayugas. I would imagine there are runts in every species.

I am sure there is lots more out there in regards to Cayugas. I have read that they are great ducks to have. Just make sure they have shade when it is over 70°F.

Awesome! Thank you so much! I will go read up on this! If I get my choice....he will end up being a very spoiled house duck. But - if he does go out with the chickens and turkey, they have misters, a UV shade tarp, and an indoor enclosure they can go in at any time.

I never get any ducks or chicks from Atwood's every time I do they die the day I get them
