Augsburger Thread!

Mine have calmed down quite a bit. ( Silkies as roommates have to help) They are the most flighty of any breed that I have. They are so beautiful and very striking though.

Mine were very flighty as Juveniles but as they have matured they are still nervous but not nearly as quick to fly everywhere.

I'd like to know too. I'm getting some but I'm going to raise a couple silkies with the intent to let them be my broodies just in case they don't.

Not so far but this is my first year with them. Someone with longer experience will probably be on soon with more definite answer.

The Augies are hatching! There are 5 so far from 9 eggs... these were shipped eggs... my hen is not being overly generous with her eggs.

I have not had a single broody Augsburger yet we have had them about 18 momths with not even a sign of broody
