August 2016 Hatch-A-Long

@CrazyChickns Its hard to tell but maybe. The upside is it doesn't look upside down, as I think the head is up next to the feet. I would keep close watch and see where it tries to pip through, or if movement slows down. You could always take a look inside, but that's up to you and how comfortable you feel with it.

How would I take a look inside if I needed to?

Chick doesn't look upside down. I would just wait and see if it pips the wrong end. If it dose the you may need to help. They can get out on their own even if it's upside so I would not rush it

I don't know what is going on with my incubator. In the guinea batch I hatched last week, I had several that were very wet inside with a gooey yellow egg white. Two babies I had to pull them and clean them off because it dries fast and very very hard. One zipped during the night and the goo sealed the zip and it suffocated. That was first time with that happening. Well, it is the same thing with these cream legbars. So much liquid! I have these two opened up and then once I found where the head and beak were I laid them on there side with that up so they won't drown. They are doing fine, resting. No one is chirping so I am not proceeding further until they seem ready. I really hope I can pull these two through this (and they aren't both boys).

Hope they make it! How's your humidity?

I didn't up it because of the liquid until about an hour ago. Now I've got it up to make sure the goo in the eggs doesn't harden. I had that happen to a guinea in my last hatch. I really don't understand it.

I checked on my Marans and I've got four going strong. I decided to check the guineas and had two external pips! They're in the hatcher now too (reason #2 to finally up the humidity). I'm interested to see if there is any goo issue with those since they are my own eggs.
