11 silkies have hatched. Letting the last of them fluff up a bit more before moving them to the brooder with the rest.
I just put my Coturnix eggs in lockdown! I thought I’d join late to the August hatch-a-longMy button quail are now on lockdown and the corturnix aren't far behind. I did have one leghorn quit so down to 4. the 5 Pekin ducks all still look good, I occasionally candle the ones with the floating air cells as I tilt/rotate them and it looks like one has finally stabilized in spot thanks to the growth of everything, the other still moves but I'm hoping that one does the same as the chick grows more
Oooh Falb fee and Pansy are soo pretty, sadly I'm pretty sure we don't have them here in Aus, I know we don't have Celadon. Although I should get some red breasted and Darth Vader in my king (aka button) which are kind of mini versions of them lolI just put my Coturnix eggs in lockdown! I thought I’d join late to the August hatch-a-longI put 20 shipped eggs and 18 of my homegrown eggs in my new incubator that I’ve been itching to try out.
I’m down to 23 eggs and most of them are my own eggs that are a mix of Celadons, Pansy Fees, and a Falb fee covered by a Celadon and a Silver. I’m hoping that I got at least a couple of fun colored hens from the shipped eggs that are worth keeping and that my silver boy adds more silvers to my bunch!
They’re due to pip on Saturday

Ohh, I do love the Darth Vader and red breasted buttons! They are super pretty! My husband might kill me if I also tried having button quail haha. I just love the patterns on the Pansy Fees! I got a couple super pretty hens from Nabiki and they are definitely my favorites! I also got two silver tuxedo celadons from her hatching eggs 4 weeks ago and they're beautiful! I am very much hoping they are hensOooh Falb fee and Pansy are soo pretty, sadly I'm pretty sure we don't have them here in Aus, I know we don't have Celadon.
