Not a good picture. When we shined the light in it the eye moved quickly. I think I scared it, it's about a week old

Maybe silkie egg

My little king quail are piping!! I had to order another brooder for them after breaking the tank I normally raise them in for the first few weeks, hopefully it arrives before the coturnix hatch otherwise they may be living together for a few days.

I don't own any... But baby quail chickies are adorable! Good luck

Exciting! I’m still waiting on mine! 😩 supposed to have pipped yesterday but nothing! I’m hoping I was just a bit under temperature wise and they start today! 😖

We have 7 little chicks hatched so far. There will be a few more over the next few days (because I was worried about fertility at this time of year so added a few more eggs over a few more days).

The 3 mixed breed bantam eggs all hatched out:

And so far 4 English Araucana have hatched (I only have photos of 3 as the last one is still drying off):

This first one woke me up at 2.45am to announce his arrival. 🤣

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's babies!

I am new to both ducks and incubating. I currently have 9 Rouen eggs incubating, all bought off ebay. Three are due next weekend, and 6 others were just put in Wednesday. Of the newer batch, 4 have veins and heartbeats and one looks younger by a day or two, but something appears to be developing.

I had a mishap yesterday when candling--I dropped one of the newer eggs and cracked it. I covered the crack with wax, so hopefully Lucky survives.

First June hatch along, then July and now August...

Third batch this year... Why didn’t anyone warn me that hatching would be addictive? :he
How do you like the govee thermometer? I have one but have issues getting it to connect and was curious if it's the device or my phone.
