In my partner's case, she and her family do not like pickles and are vegetarian, so me surprising her with Aunt Martha's Secret Recipe Dill Pickles (No matter how yummy) or my favorite Chicken Soup wouldn't be appreciated, where putting them on my table would make a whole lot of people happy. LOL

So knowing her preference is not to get meat based or pickled canned goods, helps me narrow down what to surprise her with!
