August Hatch-A-Long!

Did a quick candle on the eggs in the goat-disturbed nest. I think they're gonners, but I'll give them through the weekend :-(

Can't wait to see the pics of all the new peeps!

How far along are they?

Just going into day 21 now.....have 3 pips out of 4 so hopefully my little dudes are right on schedule. The first pip was 12 hours ago and it has has only defined the pip a little more since then.

UPDATE 4 th egg just pipped......praying my babies make it out safe

Day 20 and I have a 1/10 pip! Sooo excited! He's chirpin away and eager to come out! My humidity went up to 68%. I think bc it rained hard this morning. Hope it goes back down some as the day progresses.

that baby may wait until tomorrow to hatch!! sit on your hands

Some of my second batch Crele Polish pipped yesterday evening. Hope they hatch today, can`t wait to see my little ones.

Sounds like everything is A Ok! It is quite normal to pip and not hatch for 24 hours...a lot has to happen inside there after the pip.

You are at the exciting stage...watching the zipping & hatching! But this is the part that seems like its the longest, lol.

My humidity goes up when a chick pips, I think it's the moisture inside the egg. I keep my humidity over 65% and as much as 78% during lockdown...I don't want anyone drying out inside their shell.

oh I so happy for you!! don't worry about humidity it's a little high but not too high!!

68% is not high during hatching. My incubator recommends "at least" 65%.

My first fluffy is safely out and I got to watch the whole thing....Amazing...and in love already

Number 2 looks like its zipping now..prob because chick 1 is playing football with it lol
