They actually are pretty good. The condensed styrofoam make the absolute best insulator.

My first bater was homemade and a quick throw together. But the hatch rate would have been great had i not made several rookie mistakes.

Awe, that is ok though, I mean I have never dreamed of getting an incubator! Do you recommend buying hatching eggs?

Well? Im not going to recomend it nor dismay it because I just bought 3 breeds of eggs from the Bay. They are the ones in the bater now. They do add a cetain level or difficulty and have a couple more steps to follow pre-bater than local eggs. A 50% hatch rate in considered to be good for mail order eggs. But ordering eggs does give the advantage to have breeds that no one lical has and gives you a market without much competition. So it has its pros and cons.

If the spraddle leg doesn't get better what should I do? I've culled the one with the intestines out but I've grown attached to little Forest Gump. I hate the thought of having to do that again and to him.

Easter Polish babies are hatching!! I tried a dry hatch this time, and so far the results are outstanding!
