My turkey eggs are hatching . they were due. 8-23-2013 this one showed up early. then 2 more hatch today. One is kinda iffy if he makes it. 1 egg didn't make it out of the shell. 3 more in there. hope they hatch No pips on them.
Going to have to take him out of the bator tomorrow so I hope the rest hatch today....
have 1 brown leghorn in there that hatched. wait the silver penciled plymouth rocks to hatch the 24th.
Never hatch turkeys before so it will be a learning experience. I heard they can be touchy.
Have turkey , game bird starter a waiting for the little guys.
They were shipped eggs from Arielle in Ma. all the way to California Hope I get a good hatch on my plymouth rocks . I'll keep ya undated.

Great looking babies! I love hatching with you all! My August hatch is finished. Out of 6 locked down, we have five beautiful babies. The other one was alive and well at lockdown but just didn't make it out. Poor guy. But I'm still so pleased with the turn out. Here's pics of my babies. I look forward to Sept. hatch with you all!

They were shipped. It's just killing me not to open the bator! I'm really hoping at least three will hatch.
How long would you wait to candle them, after day 21?

Thank you much. They were being very cooperative this morning when I took them. They're interested in everything! I love this stage, you know, the one before they all start to run from you.

it looks like it's out of joint I read something once about a tendon or ligament being slipped over the joint or something...did you try straightening it and gently messaging it? message down...let me know

It is very stiff. I think sore when she puts pressure on it. That other leg is very strong. I can't straighten it and it hurts her when I try. If it heals that way, I will make her a prosthetic.
