I am concerned with one of these eggs in the bator... It looked fine when I inspected it, but it's starting to look porous, & there's definitely an embryo, I'll try to get a pic later -should I throw it out??
I would give it a chance..................

What are some of the things that can happen? Should I put it in a container to keep it safe?

Had to cull one of the eggs my broody was on :( , its day 9 and the egg was fully see through, one of the Silkie eggs might have a blood ring but not sure yet will check it again on day 14 to see, we are down to 11 eggs if no blood ring lets hope all is well :fl

Candled my 6 eggs due 8/2 and one I set on 7/18. 5 of my 6 look great, nearly full of moving chick, but one of those may have died. There appears to be a blood smear and the smaller dark area doesn't appear to be moving. It doesn't smell so I marked it and will look at it again when they go into lockdown in a few days.

I have asked a few times about the dry method but haven't had an answer. I will try here.

I tried and my air cell was 1/3 of the egg by the end of the first week. The humidity was staying between 29% and 35%. Also, when the humidity dropped to 29% the temp would jump to 106'. What am I doing wrong?

I have been keeping the humidity at 40% and the temp is fine unless the humidity drops.

My eggs have tiny air cells on day fourteen. The water in the incubator dries up very quickly, in two days, 100ml has evaporated. The air cells are about as big as they should be at day seven, should I just not add water/add very little?

Are you using forced air or still air? I find that forced air regulates the temp better for my incubator, because it is homemade.

Do you have a kitchen scale? I'm not sure exactly what the guidelines are week by week but on the hatching 101 article it says to weigh them and if they're losing weight too fast to add water, but my guess is to try less water - maybe 75-80 ml to start and see what happens

I'm having issues with humidity as well so your guess is as good as mine
