August Hatch-A-Long!

My august hatch came out OK. 9 healthy EE mixes. All came out dark brown or black with gold streaks on head and muffs. 1 golden sebright bantam, still have 4 in the bator. Will be setting 24 golden sebrigts for September hatch.
congrats...I just set silver sebrights...among too many other breeds...4 incubators overflowing...

My broody is going to hatch these chicks in about 7 days and I'm in my own "nesting" stage LOL lots of preparation going on here, I can't keep up with all these posts. I'm so sorry I can't give more support, good luck everyone with the hatches.. Love all the chick pics ...so cute.

Mine were Lavender Orpingtons. I still have them in the bator. How long should I wait to take them out and open them?

Just went into lockdown I candled one egg that felt very light and was only half full I took it out and opened it not fertile (very porous egg) so now there are 29 in lockdown I think a few more are no good but they were heavier and I didn't want to take a chance I hurt a baby so I left them in. Fingers crossed

I have some hatch. my first hatch I will be happy if even one hatches lol I know there are some good ones that are full and I see movement I will be a nervous wreck this weekend

This question really isn't about a hatching but idk who else to ask... I got this lavender silkie with some Cochin frizzles. It's supposedly around 6 mo old but it doesn't look at all like the rest if my 5 mo olds. It's smaller but the head is completely different, it doesn't have black skin and it gets height when it tries to fly- about 1-1.5 ft. My silkies are lucky to get 6 in! I think he sold me something else but idk what. Any suggests?
