Checked last 2 eggs, looks like 2 more malpositioned, one had a foot out the membrane into the air cell (it was the one I saw moving yesterday). Not sure how I ended up with 3 malpositions on eggs that weren't shipped and that were hatched in cartons. Some things just happen I guess. So for the first hatch of Aug. I have 1 each of Lav Am, Lav Orp and BY mix. Candled the 13 SFH eggs last night, 2 look questionable, but the other 11 have great veining and some "eyes". 1 of these has a pretty bad saddle cell, and 1 is moving a little bit, so I'll see how they progress. Both of them look strong right now though. Hatches are getting better each time. Learning a lot as I go, and it's amazing how different everyone on here has successful hatches. Just trying to find my best way! Now then.....let's go chickies!!!!!!
Nicole you are very correct. Each persons house, room, air temp, air humidity can all be different or fluctuate. Everyone needs base guidelines and then find out what works for them.
