August Hatch-A-Long!

I've got 5 PM and Wyandotte eggs waiting to go in the bator as soon as my current hatch is out. I'm so excited to see what they're going to look like. Hopefully the NH will start throwing me some eggs real soon. I know the Buff Orpington rooster has been after her, so we'll see what comes out. :)

July's hatch I'll have some Olive Eggers. & if I breed some Olive Eggers back to EE I wonder how green the egg will be?

I'm very lucky my mother is a chicken person as well. She'll talk chickens with me all day. That's about it for the chicken people in my family. The rest think I've lost my mind. BYC has been a wonderful haven for me to talk and learn.

I've made some wonderful friends here. I'm anxiously awaiting a new friend to get home to Mobile, or close. So we can arrange to meet. She's been an amazing help through several chicken emergencies and walked me through assisting a couple of chicks last month.

I took DH with me to pick up my incubator and two Marans roosters from a local friend. He got a taste of real chicken talk. We were there for a few hours. She had to show us around and we had to discuss them at length. I don't think he will go with me when I go back to take her the Black Australorps she's ordered.
