By upside down do you mean it's pipping along the sides or bottom of the egg? If so, you may have a malpositioned chick. Read up on Assisted Hatching (link found in my signature below) so that you are prepared for what may be coming. Keep us updated.

Pipping towards the bottom of the egg and when he peeps I can see is lower beak moving but towards up top. I labeled the x where I thought he'd pip but he's down towards the bottom.

You can see where I had marked the X where I thought he'd pip but he's down towards the bottom and when he cheeps his bottom beak moves which is towards the top.

Towards the bottom, yes.
