USPS The local lady is so sweet and if it was up to her she'd hand carry them across the US all by her self. She implored me to tell all shippers never to use the cube shaped boxes because it is way too easy for them to get flipped every which way.

What other shape box did she recommend?
That is horrible.

My poor eggs

Oxine! Everyone with chickens should have oxine! You can mist the eggs, let them soak and dab, not wipe. Then I would put oxine in the water in the bator. If you dont have oxine, get distilled water and mist the eggs. Try your best not to wipe as you could push any bacteria into the shell. Good luck. And check out uses for oxine, its amazing!

Oh my gosh that is awful! We're they insured? I don't think I would set them due to the broken egg stuff everywhere inside. If they were that broken, I doubt the others were not scrambled internally.

I got my black coppers in 2 days ago and had 2 broken. It was a mess inside the box. Yoke every where. I gently rinsed the yoke off the eggs and set all the rest in the bater any way. All i can do now is hope for the best. I do have two other kinds in the bater with those so if the marans dint hatch at least i will have the others to watch b

My August 17 th hatch has started there is always a early bird in the group. It is a leghorn. I sat the cochin bantams , Sat both barred and colored bantams and a few brown leghorns.
Thought I heard the little guy early this morning.
the cochin eggs it will be interesting to see how many hatch.
