August Hatch-A-Long!

So my hen has been raising the chicks in a bush outside by my house. Now that the chicks are hatching should I move her inside the house with them inside a crate? 1 has officially hatched the others are pipping. They are officially due to hatch tomorrow. The chicks are peeping and that could attract predators. Skunks and feral cats come to my next my house often at night. The feral cats are fine with the grown chickens but I dont know about the chicks. If they came they would come like 5 yards from the nest so... Should I move her inside? I feel bad moving her but I dont want them to get killed. Should I move her?

Yeah, I have had 1 chick like that, I didn't put it down cause it was only a day or two old and was hoping it would get better, then I sold the batch to a little girl who wanted yellow chicks- (of course that chick was free)

if you have a brooder, its never a bad idea as long as you can sleep with the noise. You should do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Better safe than sorry.

Yeah, just make sure the hen is safe from predators, even in a nice big kennel with shavings, food and water will work for the night.

She doesn't need to come inside unless that's the.only safe place u have. Dog crates work well because u can just latch the door at night

I put a new clutch of eggs in yesterday, I am really excited! I collected: 5 d'UCCLE eggs, 4 Light Brown Leghorn eggs, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte egg, 1Dominique/GLW egg
2 EE/GLW egg!!!!
13 total, hopefully most will hatch!!!

I feel bad that she is alone. If you lived near me I would give you one if my chicks so she had a buddy

I think that I might go ahead and lock my eggs down in the morning. Tomorrow is day 17. My temp has run .1-.2 degrees higher than it should have and everybody inside is moving around great. What does everybody think?

I turned off the turner today, day 16, but won't officially kick up the humidity until day 18. Mine are shipped eggs (well six out of eight are).
