it doesn't need to eat for several days but it is probably upset...how's it doing? did you lower it so it stand on it"s feet? when your not busy you can hold it and love it up!! that'll calm it!
when mine first hatch and are chirpy I get them together and lay them on me cover them with a hand towel and they sleep!!

He is standing up and attempting to walk on it's legs. And he ate.

had one of my little peeps pip it's egg was upside down, by that I mean facing the bottom of the bator, good thing I decided to take a quick look because it had ooze coming from the pip....I didn't think I'd find it alive but it is, I cleaned it's nostrils and put it back where I can watch it!
hope the others don't have that much fluid still...this is a dry incubation!!

Thanks :). I've just never had them peep this early, usually, for me, they start the dY before or of hatch day so I kinda paniced! No early babies please!!!!!! Just nice healthy peeps :)

I have heard that shipped eggs can start earlier because of warm temps while in the mail system. Doesn't mean early like premature, just they started incubation before they arrived.

Placed my next batch into the bator today. at least 4 were showing veining (all on day 6) 2- hard to tell and 1 was dark inside. What is that? a bad one?
