August Hatch-A-Long!

Today is day 18 for my 2 porcelain and 1 lavender silkies. I go into LD tonight and pray they hatch well and strong.

Today is day 18 for my 2 porcelain and 1 lavender silkies. I go into LD tonight and pray they hatch well and strong.

I have some buff and Blue/splash silkie eggs on day 11. I just hatched 2 beautiful splash last week. The lady I bought the eggs from liked one so much she traded me 18 more eggs for it. She had already given me 10. So the new ones are Buff, Blue/Splash and Porcelain, they are on day 4. I really hope at least one of the porcelains hatch.

ANd here's one for you.

They will be super chicks, hatch with little capes on.

I have 5 chicks now.

Still just the 1 white, all the others blue. There are two almost out, 1 blue & 1 black. No new pips in awhile. Still hoping.

I have 3 out..over the last 2 days....and 1 zipping...more due over the next few days

August has been such a bittersweet month. Today I lost my beloved leghorn

Also today, I watched my broody teach her chicks how to scratch, peck, & enjoy a good dust bath.

Just another day in raising chickens I guess :')

Day 22 and still nothing from the rest of my eggs. no pips at all
