It's impossible to count them, those baby quails, I think there are about 20 now. Here some moving pics from yesterday. The hatching still goes on. It is day 18.

I hope your little chicky's leg problem is an easy fix, Book. xoI must be too busy because one of the dear little chicks we fond has a leg issue. It is almost a week old and I should have noticed sooner. My husband bound the chicks legs for the issue he thinks it has and will get vitamins for the water tomorrow in case it is something else. Poor little thing.
-sigh-
Two little eggs set to hatch on the 8th and then 10 on the 11th and so on. Not sure staggered hatching was wise on my part.

Yes, welcomeMay i join in.. Ive 11 eggs in bator today is day 10 there due on 14th August. Just another barnyard special. mix of RIR, LS, BS crosses.![]()
Although ive a little experiment going on in there. You'll laugh at this cross lol my light sussex rooster got the grip of my silver seabright, so i put the eggs in bator too as a experiment and lo and behold they are alive. Hes a massive rooster and shes only teeny tiny so i was shocked to say the least.!
LOL...I am turning manually and I still have to keep looking at my calendar to be sure of the day! And I only have 11 eggs on 2 separate hatch days to keep track of!!! What a newbie I am!!!!!Day 9 for quail eggs in the hovabator, day 3 for the ones in my DIY incubator. About 170 eggs total.
I need to start keeping a journal or calendar by the incubators, because now that i have an automatic turner I lose track of what day it is. It was a lot easier when I was counting down the days until I could stop turning manually![]()
