The eggs I got from 'revolutionmama' had a rough trip down here so I haven't candled any of them yet. I figure I'll candle on day 18. I hate to handle them more than I have to.

Glad y'all have been getting along well without me. I feel so lost!! Things are settling down in my life and I hope to be back in the loop this week.

I will be opening the September Swap tomorrow and was wondering if anybody had any new ideas to throw into the swap.

I've gotten a great Idea from Hot2Pot . . . I love the idea so tell me what you think about a Chain Swap. Everybody sign up with Pure or Mixed and I will make 2 lists. The first person on the list ships their eggs along with the list to the second person on the list and the second person ships to the third person and so on. Input please!!

Nevermind . . . No input needed cause I've decided that we're gonna try it for one month anyway. Going to open it up now!!

Would we be able to do multiple chains? For people with smaller flocks it may take a few days to gather the eggs. Also for people that want to be in multiple times this may be easier or people that prefer to only ship on Mon or Tues. I like the idea, but if we have many people participating, it may take longer than Sept 10 to the 25. Just my 2 cents.

renegaderidgefarm - I just a suggestion for next month's swap. Could we have the shipping deadline on Monday/Tuesday? That way there is no chance of the eggs staying in the P.O. over Sunday?

We've still got alot of people dealing with the heat and now the hurricane so I don't see a long list of participants signing up this month BUT I will take that into consideration. You're right I may have to run several lists so everybody gets their eggs. We won't be limited by the 25th deadline playing this way but I don't want it dragging into next month if we can help it. When you sign up - just tell me in the your PM what you can do and around when you want to ship so I can try to judge that and work it into the list in the right place.
