August Mystery Egg Swap . . . . . Sign Ups Open!!!!

Jim - funny because your eggs are late too. I think it has to do with the polish that hatched early that were rolling all the other eggs around. So far, one hatched, one pipped and one rocking. I took #6 out (cracked one) because it had quit on me. The chick was fully grown, but hadn't used up all the yolk. I was really rooting for that one.

Did the bantam egg develop? Are the brown eggs the good ones? Let me know what they look like. Good luck with the rest of them.

We've had quite a few hatch with huge puffy cheeks. One is a roo and I'm planning on using him to breed a few more. They all still have the puffy cheeks.

So neat to see my flocks offspring.

I hope I get a few more puffy faces from the other batch of eggs I got from you.

He is black and white. Most of my chicks come out with big legs and feet (both pullets and roos). Most come out yellow and have ended up a creamy white with some black; but not much black.

One of those that you may or may not have shipped has hatched - #8. Numbers 5 and 7 have been rocking. 6 quit on me (the cracked one) and 4 & 9 were earlier outs. The three guineas still have movement; so I have hope for next week.

EE's are the best. I have 3 chooks that lay green eggs, but none are "full blood" EE's. One is dark blue EE hen that has lightly feathered feet named Julia, then I have two EE x American Game hens that both lay green eggs. Then I have 3-4 younger EE mix pullets growing up that are just gorgeous! I can't wait to see if they're going to lay blue/green eggs!
