My second batch goes into lock down tonight. I wanted to scrub the HovaBator in case that was the reason the chicks were dying at lock down. The LF eggs looked good last I checked. (Being back to school I haven't been candling like I should.).

the bantam was clear.

Everytime I go to try and find who is from Dunlap, Tn I get side tracked. I'm going to have to look some more. Heck, I never figured out who my last July partner was.

How many made it to lockdown?

Of the two eggs of mine that made it to lockdown only one hatched and it ended up dying. Darn it. It was adorable and fat too. Kind of a light orange. Came out of a blue egg. The other one that didn't hatch was a twin which I knew when I candled at 18 days. Only one of them developed. It would have been white or yellow had it hatched and had an extra toe. Do I get to know what they were now?

Well the last keet didn't make it out alive. I think the 4 others picked it to death, there was some blood on the membrane and they seem to be pecking at everything. I could see where they would peck at a moving beak

Those 4 are definitely cute though! Will post some pictures later this evening after work.

Sounds like you have 2 Pied, 1 Pearl, 1 Lavender. Aren't they just the cutest? I have several dozen Guinea eggs cook'in in the 'bator.

The bumble bee looks like her mother, Fredia.

ETA: That Pied keet that is mostly white has some awesome coloring. I have 2 Pied hens, and one of them has real good coloring like that chick. I hope I get a couple that look like that in my hatches!

They all made it to lockdown, although there are still 3 that seem to have quit, I am giving extra days as always. 3 banty eggs hatched and are adorable(Ipresumed they were banty cause of the size) blue egg hatched, green egg hatched, i would presume these are easter eggers, I have 2 grey and yellowish chicks. Will get pictures up soon.

I sent easter eggers, which would have been the yellowish, there were also comets, barred rocks, and possibly turkens. The roosters are standard Cochins.

The bantam eggs came from my bantam cochin pen. Mixed colors (black sq roo, self blue roo, red roo over black sq hen, self blue hens, red pullet and gold laced pullets, also a splash bantam polish). I have hatched black, self blue, red, and gold laced, the black could be hiding the other colors though. Depending on the number on the green and blue egg. #2 were either silkie/ameraucana cross or wheaten ee covered by something (lots of roos) #3 came from wheaten and blue wheaten ee. They had only been seperated for a little while though so could possibly been covered by jersey giant, golden comet, mille fluer d'uccle, gold sebright, frizzled red silkie or the blue wheaten ee roo. It sounds like they might be pure though I would have to see pics of the chicks to be sure.
