AUGUSTA, MAINE poultry swap/chicken stock saturday March 31st TSC

what a fantastic day all round. lots of sellers and buyers, lots of different animals, piggies, goats, few ducks, lottts of chickens and rabbits! weather was great and I'd say many people sold out. the door prize for the adults was won by Darlene Newcombe and the under 18 door prize was won by Sam Newcombe. thank you nancy from Mountain top silkies for drawing the winning tickets.

we also got a visit from the state Poultry technician making sure everyone was following maine state law regarding selling 6 under 8 weeks in lots of 6.
and one last thing.
got a surprise to find there is another swap that is location next weekend april 7th 8-2 listed as a small animal swap but all are welcome!! I'm now off to start a new thread for that swap!! wow, what a day!!

I guess I'm glad I wasn't able to go. I forgot about this rule, for some reason thought it was under 4 weeks. If we're having another swap at Augusta TSC next weekend that would be fabulous. My chicks will be 7 weeks and 5 days, and that's close enough for me.

everything but roosters were selling including bantams. had quite a few people asking about bantams which kind of surprised me seeing how other swaps they were hard to give away.
