I so wish that I was still there in Maine. I grew up in Maine. I would love to be there at the show. I would so enjoy being around some of the older state of Maine breeds. I still have 1 rooster that we brought to NC from up there. He is my 1 of a kind rooster.

what a huge turn out today- about 25 vendors and more came as others left, thanks everyone for making it such a great swap.

I still have a few birds left if anyone is interested, all heavy breeds of pullets- should start laying in about 1 month.

for those of you that have not had a chance to come to an Augusta swap, our first swap of the season, we have 28 vendors (seriously, there was no room to drive through the parking lot) and our 2nd swap, 18 vendors, many coop builders and very nice items and poultry. I also have a scrapie tags for those wanting to bring goats and sheep from SMALL flocks as in 1-2 kids/lambs to sell. those with larger flocks really need to get their own tags. the person bringing the goats/sheep is reasonable for tagging their own animals, i will just be providing the tool and doing the record keeping. (other swaps have decided not to do this so if you are bringing sheep/goats without tags, check with the swap coordinator to see if they have the tags or contact the state for your own supply)
Our next swap is a 2 for, we will be having a 4th Saturday May 24th and a last Saturday (May 31st ) swap. and in between that is a poultry show at the Windsor fairgrounds on Sunday May 25th..

May 24th (and May 31st) Saturday Poultry/ Farm Days swap swap Augusta Maine at the Tractor supply on 420 civic Center Dr 8:30-1 - set up is free, legal sales only and healthy animals/ products only and
then
Sunday May 25th come join us for a Poultry show at the Windsor Fairgrounds, lots to see, Poultry show starts at 9:00, junior showmanship, raffle table, live auction and quality birds for sale from our exhibitors. Free to get in.
