Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

They are going great rexy. I have forgotten how to sex them I think. Is it black wing tips on the males? If that is the case I have a lot of females but we will see in a few weeks.

You will be able to tell by the comb by 3 weeks. There is an odd BTB coloured male in there, so that throws it off a bit. The boys will have black, and the girls have brown wings by about 2 weeks. In my line the girls nearly always feather faster, both tails and wings.

My 12 yr old Sethy and I are home :) didn't catch any trout, but some major bites :)
Needed a nice hot shower, now bed time :) Had a very long night with foxes and possums around our camp.
Not to mention platypus splashing in the water during the night :)
Night all :) Hope you are all well xxxxx

Looking good Lucas.

Thanks.

Those Blue and Clay Wheatens I got from that man that you breed your stock with where so gentle and had great personalities.

Depends on the breed I find. My wellies were about 8 months and my cochins over a year. My marans laid at 18 weeks.

I found the wellies out of my last hatch matured faster than the orpingtons, auracauna and naked neck (that's not naked). With the male wellie starting to crow and mount the hens really early. 11-12 weeks like I've mentioned to you. I think the time of year they hatch effects them too.

Just wheaten and blue wheaten, MyHaven. They do have a very laid back personality. Although I think that varies with the line you have.

Mine act more human than most of my others. They are/were happy to be with me just for the sake of it, that is not just chasing me for treats. They are more inclined to be found on my kitchen table than the others.

I haven't seen a blue wheaten. Can you post a pic please?
