Power went out again last night for 11 hours. Still 3 chicks managed to hatch with no heat just blankets over the incubator and now that they have warmed up 10 + with pips are shaking and one just hatched. They are amazing little creatures to have survived this hatch. They are still not due until Thursday...

We didn't get a lot of rain out of it. The winds came through here at 130 k , thunder and lightning. The temperature dropped from 38 down to 18 within the hour.

OH MY, please send some rain our way The grass is dead, corn has been burnt, another 40 odd degree day here today. Wish it would rain to cool things down a bit.

Don't worry Sandee, our grass is crunchy underfoot too. I'm watering the hedges and roses to keep them going. But I'll do a rain dance for you tonight. e

I know right. We were at a BBQ sitting under a tree trying to cool down. 20 mins later we were huddled in the shed wearing all the hosts polar fleece jackets.

Not as hot out here sandee at the moment but boy we could do with some rain. My grass has returned to crunchy brown.. We have more bush babies lol. Another two mum came out of the banana garden on Monday afternoon with a total of 11 babies. They had a hidden nest under the lemon grass.
