Hello everyone! Long time no see.

I went on a bit of a hiatus there for a while. Life just got in the way I guess.

Some updates on my flock:
Unfortunately I lost my Black Australorp and Salmon Fav to sickness, so was devastated there

I bought a Black Naked Neck and Silver Dorking to replace them. All was going well with them, completed the quarantine and introduced them to the others.
After a week of being in there, I found the NN dead in the middle of the run, with no explanation as to why. She was fine the previous day

Then I was gifted two Black Utility layers - thankfully they are going well. So this brings my tally to 9 girls.

I've had rotten luck with my chickens of late.

I hope everyone else's birds are doing well.

Hi ya :frow
So sorry for your losses. Hope all your remaining girls stay nice and healthy :)

One of my young pheasants we hatched escaped yesterday, he was just hanging out by the fish pond so I came over and eat down next to him and started tapping at the ground. He ran over to my finger and scratched the dirt beneath it, pecking through to see what he could find. I don't think it even crossed his mind to fly away, he was easier to catch than a chicken... so I started a new pheasant aviary and here is the progress so far. The boys enjoyed their cricket treats, they munched them too quick for an action shot :)
