There were plenty more where they came from. That's the good thing about hens, they keep laying. The young pullets from Chook have just started laying so I am getting some very nice eggs atm.

That's great. For anyone that didn't know the story.. Rexy kindly dropped some marans eggs to hubbys work for me to hatch. He told me that the bossess wife accidently took them home and when he rang her to tell her she had already used them in a cake. Well i was having a rather large hissy fit at him when he produced them from the car saying he was jokin.... Hmmm not happy jan lol.

Eggs made it to Bris safe n sound.... (& not in the fridge!!).... Yes, I forgot to add. They are RIR eggs, but the progeny will be RIR bantams X WLH. It will be interesting to see how they are shaped!?!?
