Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Thanks Fancy. I know it wasn't their fault as it was the chicken who flew the fence. Would have been a completely different story if they had gotten IN the coop.
Sorry to anyone how doesn't want to read this part, but at least she didn't go to waste as they both ate her.

Ugh - horrible things lice and mites are!!! Hope you get them sorted out soon.

I have two black spot Dalmatian boys at home, but I show this little girl for a breeder friend who can't run around the ring due to her bad knees.

I paint all their perches with a mixture of insecticide and cooking oil, and sprinkle sulphur in the nest boxes- seems to keep them pest free.

Thanks ash, I sprayed the coops out with ' coopex ' , sprayed the birds with a pyrethrum based product and sprinkled sulphur throughout the nest boxes. I will do it all again next weekend and hopefully that will be the end of the little buggers. My main problem is sparrows.

Lol, Sam problem is once the snow melts it only adds to the volume of water in the river. But don't worry , we've seen worse.

Our river is tidal and the mountain river feeds into it . There is no stopping it , just have to manage it as best can be. Being as our house was the first built in the area , we are above the 100 year flood zone. The old folks knew what they were doing , go figure they didn't even have GPS.

Lol
