Sam, white oil is just petroleum oil. It works on scale on fruit trees by smothering the insect. It's a bit like using petroleum jelly to smother leg mites. Honestly , unless you were spraying the walls with massive amounts of white oil I would doubt it's effectiveness . You need a good insecticide .
I clean everything out of the coop, spray every nook and cranny and lock the birds out for the day to give the coop a chance to dry.
Coopex comes in a satchel and makes up litres , I've been using it for several years and have had no problems with it.

Just thought I'd pop on to tell you Noodles (my little bantam) has finally decided to lay her first egg :) She's only 9 months old after all haha
Maybe she's a late developer lol
