Have to share a funny story. My hubby's boss has a broody sitting on 20 eggs. He was away and kids had to collect the eggs. His teenage son collected all the eggs from under the broody and put them in the fridge!

Luckily his sister saw them all and realised what he had done and put them back under the broody (will see if they hatch). She mentioned to her dad who rang the son and asked him could he go down to the pet shop and see if he could get a black hen. Son said yeah okay why? Dad replied because I hear they lay 20 eggs a day! Lol

Lol, that goes under the heading ' lazy teenagers ' .

I always liked watching baby birds climb up on their parents. It's even cuter with waterfowl, when mama bird is swimming around with 4 of her kids piggybacking along.

Day 10 and we have 5 chicks in the eggs under penny!! Sooooo excited, can't wait till hatch day!

Vehve, the little ones have been trying to jump on mum's back but they are not quiet big enough yet .. I have never managed to catch one of our chicks doing that; hopefully this hatch

Woo hoo appps, great news! Blondie is sitting on 5 eggs also; she had 6 but somehow managed to break one Day 5 for her!

Blondie has gone full Broodzilla! When I gently coaxed her off the nest for a leg stretch, drink and something to eat she chased me across the garden .. I ran because my toes were exposed! lol
