Another question for you all.
There's a gentleman on a FB group who has made this statement ; "Persons would sell more poultry if they had realistic prices ( just an observation)".
What constitutes a realistic price in your opinion?

Another thing to consider is that chickens are not inexpensive birds to keep. Few people are lucky enough to have a spare shed complete with convenient pen. If someone is struggling to pay for a chicken, they will more than likely be unable to afford safe housing, adequate feed and any medical care that may come up. I love the innovative feeders, drinkers & so on that often work better than what is available in a shop, but it still adds up. If he wants to complain about prices he should have a look at what puppies & some kittens go for & they need far less equipment after sale.
