I've been to many cocktail parties on visiting ships, most of them American , but this is big even by their standards. It's 202 m long and the flight deck sits 28 m above the waterline.

Lest we forget.

It nearly took dynamite to get my daughter out of bed this morning to go to the Anzac ceremony, but I managed! There were actually quite a few people there. This was taken while they were on their way to the parade, before it started.


The spitfire & the other little plane were amazing. They did two fly-overs flying that close, even when they turned.

Also, just saw the hail and pics of Sam's garden - you guys just can't catch a break at the moment with the weather. Here's hoping it dries up soon!

Fancy and Vehve - love the autumn colours. I miss seeing the leaves change, although I'm pretty sure my cats wouldn't survive Tasmanian cold, never mind anywhere colder. They are behaving as if we live north of Vehve.

Nah, cats can handle pretty cold weather too. They won't survive in the wild here, but a couple day long trips are no problem.
