Train them to the white bucket. You will need to give them a small amount of hard feed every day. They will soon learn to come when you call them.
My buck died last year- I think I will give the girls a years rest, and buy a new buck later in the year.

thanks for the advise, only problem i go to the farm every 2 weeks, so i will still try the white bucket method, maybe when im there do that 3 times a day morning, lunch and late afternoon.

Every 2 weeks! Does of a certain age have a bad habit of getting their heads caught in ringlock fences.
Does anyone else check on them for you?

i have the next door who checks for me, the fencing i have used is a heavy duty sort of chicken wire mesh but bigger holes roughly 3cm diameter, i thought cause I'm not there every day i used that type of fence.

Well they won't get their heads through that. Should be safe enough.

yep should be, i make sure i check the fence everytime i go, i had them now about 6 weeks.
