Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Yeah, I know importing isn't really an option. Will keep an eye out for any already here though

How are everyone's chicks doing?

Look out for Phoenix Chickens, they are similar!
I found an add here http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/greenbank/livestock/phoenix-pairs-pol-for-sale/1015230972 and here are some young bantams http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/merrylands/livestock/young-pair-phoenix-chooks-/1013120062

They are quite pricey though. But better than shipping them!! LOL.

Also these once but they don't look as good as the others. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/batemans-bay/livestock/phoenix-chickens/1014940669

O.K satay, I cracked open the unhatched eggs this morning and there was nothing inside them, just rotten smelling yolk. So non had even started forming. Either they were not fertile or got bashed around a lot in the post, which is what I think.

Wow, you guys are amazing :) Thankyou for all that :) Luke, that first link doesn't seem to work. The third link doesn't look bad but yeah, pretty pricey.

Sorry about your eggs :(

I think the later Luke as I got 6 from 6 fertile and my cousin hatched 14 from 16. So glad you got a few to hatch though. I am sure you'll do a great job raising maxi's off spring.

Hi Pinky
Have you weighed that BR rooster of yours yet?
Thanks for telling me about that Gippsland poultry group on Farcebook - lots of good stuff on there.

I haven't. For some reason I don't have a scale. Will pick one up today or borrow my moms :)
Glad you like the gippsland page :)

Yeah I don't think it was a fertile problem.
I had a little fit at them this morning though, they are not very co-operative at this age

!!!
The mothers are the worst, with their dust bathing and scratching burring all the feed and water!
Should be better in a week or so....right?
