They had exactly those ones today at the supermarket I went to. They are in the vege area, not in the wherever-they-put-the-other-stuff area.

ok I will have a look next time. I didn't know they had 2 different packages. Having said that when I bought Branston Pickle I found it in the pickles section in one container and in the gourmet/European section in another and the price in the pickles section was cheaper.
Just noticed that one says garlic paste, there is also minced garlic and crushed garlic. I think the one I looked at is minced garlic. I bet the pricing is different too. Haha

No need, just look on Coles on line. As with anything , ' you get what you pay for ' .

yep, best is home grown, I plait mine and it hangs in the kitchen all year round.

I think I will give it a try. I grow garlic chives and heaps of other herbs. Just never thought to grow garlic.

I grew it for the first time last year, was an impulse buy at the feed store. I planted too late and it was the wrong spot, not well drained enough, so I didn't get a great crop but it lasted me till it was time to plant again this year. Now I'm having to buy again though till this crop is ready. This year I'm planting 3 x as much in the proper conditions and hopefully I'll have enough this time to get me through to the following harvest time. Was a really rewarding crop to grow though

Hey @Fancychooklady , I plaited mine too but by the time we were getting to the last of it around late winter the very last of it was sort of deflating or drying out if that makes sense. Do you have that problem? Wondering if the extras I'm growing this year will store longer anyway?

I will have to look into it. Garlic is so good for you, it must be better home grown.

I wish I could grow garlic but it just wont grow well here. I grow shallots and leeks though.
