Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

.... Something weird is happening here in the Colourful household...

I intended to put my Pekin duck eggs across to the hatching incubator tomorrow (day 25)... But one has pipped today. 4 DAYS EARLY?!?!?

It's definitely hatching, not cracked as I haven't opened that incubator in days and the duckling inside is moving around.

I've put them across now, but has anyone heard of this happening? Ducks hatch at day 28 with the exception of Muscovy ducklings which need 33 days. No breed should hatch before day 28....

My world is turning up-side down.

On another note, I HAVE DUCKLINGS HATCHING :D :jumpy :D   Yays!

Quail are due tomorrow or day after, busy week ahead.

No not heard of them hatching that early colourful unless they were pre incubated by your ducks maybe. Don't forget pics when they hatch we love pics :)

Thanks Ash but what I'm looking for is Tylan 50 to cure sneezing in some of my hens. If you look here, this is what I'm actually asking. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/770591/pullet-sneezing-worse-than-i-think

The people on there are saying I have to inject this into the breast of the chicken. But I can't find it any where so if you know an Aussie product to cure this, that would be great.

:hmm blue tomatoes? That's awesome!

Ash, what's your cross breed project? I really want to breed Houdan with my pr roo to see if I can get a barred Houdan with that great comb.
Call it macgyver's Houdan :p

Also, finally starting my pallet coop.

They were posted, so definitely not pre incubated. But I did move them between incubators a lot during incubation (we had a black out and then moved again when I set up the hatcher),, so that might have something to do with it.

Luke, I have Pekin Duck eggs in (along with my quail eggs which are hatching too). I'm still setting up my brooders because I thought I wouldn't need brooder No. 2 for another 2-3 days...

I shall be the picture queen, you just wait
