Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Yeah, I have been on Bellsouth, it seems the best site for Aus bators.
I have got my eye on that Rcom King suro.
Hi Luke,
Yeah I have the standard R-com 20 incubator. It is so reliable you don't really need the pro to tell you what went wrong with your incubation lol. The pro is more for exotic birds, not really needed for chickens. I ordered my r-com 20 straight frm the UK from P and T poultry as it was a little cheaper.
The UK? Wouldn't shipping cost a heap?
I looked on Ebay and it costs around $75 to ship from the US to here the Hova bator Genesis. I was surprised at the price though, thought it would have been more.

I ordered my Hovabator genesis from America and just use and US-AU adapter which has saved me about $100 (even with postage which was $60 or so) and the Genesis runs on very little power so it adds very little to the energy bill.

Whatever you get, make sure it comes with an auto-turner. It saves SO MUCH time and effort.

That's not to bad.
Yeah, I already know I NEED a auto turner, I am never at home in the week. Luckily all the bators these days have auto turn.

My baby's finally laying, I was told she should start laying in about three weeks, that was ten weeks ago, the other four aren't laying much at all, moulting, but my old one just started up again, with her very thin shells, my finger goes through them when I pick them up most days, since she eats the same as the others I figure it's just old age, lol she's 3. She also lays very strange shaped eggs, think its cos they are so thin, we've decided she must squeeze a bit too hard when laying, they are long eggs.

Thanks for the replies last week on what to feed them, they survived the famine lol, a mixture of cat food, fried eggs and dry dog food.
I was getting some araucana's for my birthday but they got the flu and are on antibiotics so I can't have them for a while, so now I'm on the hunt for a new pullet, don't care what sort as long as its not isa or white. Anyone in the gippsland area that knows of any, please let me know

I bought mine a little over a year ago and at the time I saved about $50.
A friend of ours bought an R-com 50 and saved about $150 a few years ago.
The king suro are good as well. They take a little effort to set up and perfect the incubation but after a few attempts it should work just as good as the other R-Coms. It is just the initial set up that is tricky so I have heard.
