Grain update for this week. Slight increases in numbers again this week. Oddly Muscovy's have been giving me 2 eggs a day also this week. Very strange for them to be laying this time of year. The wellies have stopped though but they are on different feed so not included in the total for the home mixed stuff.

My quails sure are going through the whole pallet of egg colours. The really dark one from this morning is darker than any marans egg I have ever seen.

Thanks Ash. I am like an over excited mother hen today as I have pip in one of the wellie eggs in the bator. Put 8 eggs in threw one at lock down so 7 left. Fingers crossed for me for a good hatch.

I have a load of Barred rocks and Araucana crosses due on 24/6.

Nothing but rain here - 123 mils so far and only half way through the month.

Sounds like your grain project is going fantastically well. I wonder what it was that's giving you such great results?

My own quails gave me about a dozen eggs this morning. I've been trying to contact Sydney Quailman to see when to send him some but he's been hard to find.

Gosh Ash that's a lot of rain for winter. We have had 15mm I think but that's it.

I don't know colourful would be fun if you could hey. This egg came out of my Italians pen so will see if I get anymore or if it was a one off. I get the full scale from really white to a bluish colour and also this dark brown one.
As to the grain I don't know. Mine where on expensive top protein feed before. Maybe it's just beginners luck lol.
Sydney quail man had a server change a work a while back so maybe that is why he is mia. I have not heard from him for a week or so now.
