Thanks everyone, I have been busy writing emails to everyone I know. It is not about losing money, to be honest that is the last thing I am upset about... To kill all those healthy rare birds for the sake of one dead chick with supposed traces of salmonella which is already in Australia. We were meant to be getting them in a few days. I'd understand if it was some exotic disease, my daughter is shattered (Lucky I bought the frizzles the other day, they softened the blow a little with their cuteness) The sad thing is that they timed it so that we have very little time to act or draw the sort of media attention we need to stop it going ahead. They gave the orders to destroy them on Friday afternoon and their death sentence is on Tuesday.

Why don't those involved contact something like the project. This is the sort of story they cover and the more media attention the more chance if delaying the execution order.

I just sent an email to the 7pm project team.
Here is what I wrote.

"Hi all the team at 7pm.
I would appreciate it so much if you could some how do a story on this terrible news or at least just put it out there so people know and can help save these amazing chickens.
