Like WOW!!!!! Love it!

Satay,

Is this just some of them!!?? How many do you have?
I wish I had some land and have more chickens, but I am allowed 6 max.

Without hurting anybody's feelings, when I happen to have a rooster we'd rather eat him than give him away to someone we don't know. Better than crock end.

I got my first chickens from our daycare centre. They do the hatching thing for the kids once a year, kids watch them hatch and grow for a week, then they are taken away or families can have them for free. Apparently a lot of them end up in RSPCA if nobody takes them. Very sad as RSPCA has to put down the roosters most of the time.

On a happy note my new baby quails are doing well, they are little lightning bolts! Can't take a decent photo, they are all fuzzy (the photos) :)

Red No offence taken as that's how most poultry are seen :). Ours came into the family from day 1 as a pet so could no more eat him than the cat lol. I think its to do with the way you think of them from the start though.

Our school plans to raise chicks as well and have wondered what they plan to do with all the roosters.
