Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I would recommend at least 10 -20 watts . Have a look in SuperCheap Auto - they usually have cheaper ones.

For 12 volt lighting in my shack down the back paddock, I have a 20 watt panel with built in regulator charging a 12 volt battery.

O.K looks like I am a complete novice with all this. How many volts is 20 watt or is wattage different to volts.

Thoughts guys on soundproof ness.

Option 1
Cover top half of door and window on side with weathertex to match the rest of the coop.

Option 2
Cover with clear sheeting of some sort but cover both the inside and outside so it has an air pocket between the two.

Hubby reakons the clear wont sound proof at all but I'm not convinced and its going to be so dark in there if I cover the whole thing with the cladding. Im Worried I'm letting myself in for mold issues etc if the is no light at all

Because those little LEDs use very little power, but put out quite a bit of light. If you could get a timer into that system it would probably be enough for your chooks.

Oh wonderful!

I can't believe I never thought of LED's.

Thanks so much for all your help Ash
