I mean using garlic, like do I put a bulb in their water or do I soak as bulb in water then add the garlic water to their water.

You get a whole bulb and put it in a pot of boiling water and simmer it for say 30 minutes. Remove the bulb and the water that is left you put in a jar and use it that way.

Update on the new grain feeding. It's been just over a week on the new home mixed grain and all seems to be going well. Only difference I can see on the new grain in a slight increase in eggs. This may be coincidental I guess only time will tell. They are eating about the same amount maybe slightly less of the grain than they did they on the store bought grain.

Sounds good! I don't think it would be a coincident, we are going into Winter so if anything you would expect to see a decrease in eggs.

I use just a coke size cap full in 5 litres of water. Be prepared Luke the water smells very strong when it is first made.

That is my thinking too Luke. It is only up 3 eggs a day. So we will see how this week goes.

well considering I only got 3 eggs yesterday from 14 laying hens!! your doing better than me.

Also I know I keep asking, but are your ducks laying yet? Can't wait to see how you go!

No I am a bit over the runners this year. I swear they have not laid an egg since end of last winter. Not sure what is going on with them. I did notice I have not seen any for sale on farm stock for agers too. My muscovies and my one pair of Campbells laid as usual though.
