Chick update.
I have 10 survivors. In hindsight it was the worst possible week to hatch chickies,
as the weather was appalling, and I was working on a show at the Arts Centre,
so was hardly ever here. Thanks heavens for automated equipment.
On a brighter note I have had my first egg from my blue egg project chooks.

it seems the whole of NSW has gone from Autumn to Winter in the last week. I'm sorry you lost some chicks.

I've been photographing shows for many years. First time with the new camera.
This show moves too fast for me to make many adjustments - I took 865 pics.
I will post an album on Facebook as soon as the "confidentiality clause" expires.

Thanks, I love it and so do those quails.
No eggs yet though.
I am currently feeding them on aviary feed ( this is what the previous owner was doing ) mixed with chick ( chicken ) feed.

Are you getting cold spells as well?
It was absolutely FREEZING this morning, I had for gotten how cold cold was.lol.
The funny thing was, I got 3 extra eggs from the girls today. They are strange things!
