I am starting to think all this stuff about chickens not going broody during winter is a myth. I've still got one broody doing my head in at the moment. Lol
Oh and how did the newbies go today?
Oh I forgot three things
The girl I was to swap the isa for was not the chook being swapped. It was a roo. Sorry had to pass.
My finches are trying again to nest. Last clutch(5 eggs) started but the 5yo scared her off the nest and they now have 2 (so far) will hatch in two weeks if they stay on the eggs.
And finally yesterday was torrential rain and my girls had a water front view ! Pen and coop underwater thankfully I had raised the coop on Bessemer blocks so the girls stayed dry. The same cant be said for me or hubby who were defending the house from water.
Pinky - grats on the incubation your getting good results so far. Fingers crossed all continues well.
Satay sorry, I think I have asked your this 3 times now but what do you do with your garlic?
Like boiling and all?
I promise this time I will write it down so I don't have to keep asking you.lol.
Thanks guysNobody has hatched yet. Due Wednesday. Was just saying they're going strong
I hope they hatch on time because those Yokohama eggs should be here any day now
Ash, congratulationswhat's your plan for the babies? Growing them up to sell? Breeding project?
I know you told me but, what are the Araucana eggs you gave me? They're marked L and B. You said the B were large black right? I want to keep one but I want to make sure she's big enough that she won't be hurt by giraffe (my roo)
