I spray my girls houses once a month with that tick spray from the vet (fidos?) is that enough to stave away mites and lice? I am getting a bit obsessed...they sleep with a mixture of horse shavings and hay - the fluffies prefer the hay, the big girls roost above the shavings...I clean them both out once a week...

Also, with the porridge do I just make that like normal for them?

Yes, just cook it up with either milk or water. Yes! Water works just as well, mind you I wouldn't much like it but the flock does.

Not nescesarrily. I have sprayed our coop twice in the last few months with it but they still had lice. I could be wrong but the coop spraying is probably more for mites who leave the chicken of a day than lice who may never leave unless they bump up against another chook.
