Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

how do I tell? No pips

Have you candled them to see if they are through the inner membrane or listened to hear if they are peeping or still trying to pip? Marans can take a few days longer as they are a slow developing breed (this is not always the case) but they can also get stuck because of the thicker membranes and shells, what have you had your bator set to? Were they posted eggs?

I hear the occasional peep. Have candled but can't tell if internally pipped. Can hear tapping.

Have you ever assisted before? I used to have this happen before I got my rcom (that's why I bought it because I couldn't handle the stress of this point your at now, to help or not to help) what had your humidity and temp been set to throughout the hatch?

Temp has been at thirty eight and humidity started out low, 40%, then upped to fifty toward the end and sixty for Lockdown. And I am using an rcom :-\

Hi fellow Aussies.............

This post leads me to a question..................... What humidity do most of you hatch at? Do you hatch Marans at the same humidity as the others?

Another question... Are araucanas good layers? My little girl just started back up after moult, and is only laying every 3 days. Is this the usual?

Thanks Sue
